Several years ago, I challenged a rabbi friend by asking, "Do we think Judaism is the best religion?" He paused a moment, scratching his beard and exclaimed, "Judaism is the best religion... (long pause finger held in the air for effect)... for Jews!"

Similarly, I offer; Circumcision is the best thing for all baby boys... whose parents have decided upon circumcision!

I only promote circumcision as a religious functionary of the Jewish faith.  It is the practice that dates back to our forefather Abraham and it is the act that enters us into a covenant with G-d. See (Genesis 17:9-14)

I do not perform any other medical procedures, rather, I am a specialist in this one field.

When contacted by families not of the Jewish faith who wish their infant son to be circumcised, I am honored.  A few basic pieces of information on circumcision for you follow.

Is CircumcisionPro or Cantor Glantz promoting circumcision?

What is circumcision?

  • Circumcision is a surgical procedure to remove the skin covering the end (technically called the glans, often referred to as the head or helmet) of the penis, called the foreskin.

  • In many cultures, circumcision is a religious rite or a ceremonial tradition. It is most common in Jewish and Islamic faiths.

  • In the United States, newborn circumcision is an elective procedure.

The National Center for Health Statistics estimates that about 65 percent of newborn boys undergo circumcision (click here to see study). However, this number varies among socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic groups.

Is it recommended?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) writes and posts regularly on the topic of circumcision. Some direct links for your convenience:
